Also, since the handlebar wasn't locked to its place when you press it, it hit her legs when she used it. She also felt the handlebar was a little on the short side particularly with a large changing bag hanging from it.

The double stroller isn't as lightweight as other travel buggies. It has a full array of features and is one the most versatile double strollers on the market. It can be used with two carrycots (available separately), features several recline positions and comes with a UV 50+ canopy. You can also add the bassinet to either or both seats and transform it into a travel set-up.

The four rubber composite tires are great for pavements and urban terrain. However, they were not designed for off-roading. They had a hard time with long grass and gravel and there was not enough clearance between the wheel bracket and wheel, so mud stuck easily. However our tester was still enthralled using this buggy and it did get up to some pretty dirt hills.

2. iCandy Orange

The iCandy Orange double buggy is the ultimate in style, versatility and quality. It is a must for parents who demand cutting edge design quality, style and quality that lasts. It's a heavier buggie in tandem, however, it's very easy to operate and drive especially on smooth pavements. It is stable in double and single mode, and even on sloped terrain. It's not as simple to drive on public transport, however, as it requires more than one hand on the handlebar. It's also large and will not fit into a standard car boot with the seat on, however this can be overcome by careful planning. iCandy has included an infant footmuff and a changing bag included in the price, making this an excellent value for parents who are just starting out.

3. Joie Evalite Duo

This is a light tandem stroller. It has two non-reversible seats, which are suitable for babies up to about 3 years old. The rear seat can also be used to accommodate car seats.

The Joie Evalite Duo double buggy is a great option for those who are just starting out, since it is affordable and easy to operate. It is also extremely lightweight, making it easy to push across long distances. It also has a high-quality suspension system, which ensures an enjoyable ride for kids and parents.

This stylish and practical city stroller can be used by twins or a toddler with an infant, or even three children by adding UPPAbaby's ‘PiggyBack’ board (sold separately). The 360-swivel front wheel can be locked into place for easier manoeuvring around the city, and the single pedal brake that locks easily is simple to use.

Our testers noted that the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to maneuver, even walking on uneven ground or when turning fast in a busy street. They were also amazed by the fact that both seats recline independently, which means they can be adjusted to fit the individual's needs. This is ideal for napping.

They also loved that the hoods were able to be moved forward and back making them easy to adjust in the sun or to provide wind protection. They didn't provide the same coverage as Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's probably worth packing an extra rain cover inside the case.

Overall, our testers were impressed with the way that the Nipper Double allowed them to take their twin girls Sydney and Lyla to all sorts of adventures, from seeing wildlife in the woods to rush to the park for a quick playdate. They were also impressed by how cozy and spacious the two seats are with plenty of space for toddlers to sprawl out in. Our testers did mention that the lack of a parent-facing seating and inability to use car seats in this buggy were a problem, and they would like to have seen more storage space for shopping and other gear.
